Questions people ask
What is the LinkedIn ad introductory text limit?
LinkedIn accepts up to 600 characters of introductory text but truncates it at about 150 in the feed with a See more link on desktop, and earlier on mobile. Write the first 150 as if they are the whole ad.
How long can a LinkedIn ad headline be?
Up to 200 characters, truncated at about 70 in most placements. LinkedIn's own guidance is to keep it under 70 so it never gets cut.
Where does the LinkedIn ad description show?
The description field, up to 300 characters, only appears on the LinkedIn Audience Network and in some placements. On LinkedIn itself it is usually hidden, so do not rely on it for the offer.
Are carousel and video ad limits different?
Carousel cards each get a 45 character headline and the intro text is shared across the carousel. Video ads use the same intro text and headline limits as single image, with the headline shown under the player.
